Throwback Thursday: More 2011 Goods and Bads

Goods and Bads” act as a little snapshot of camp life at YPI. To celebrate Throwback Thursday, here are a few more good ones from YPI 2011, along with some photos we found from that year. (Not sure what “Goods and Bads” are?) Again, these photos are not correlated with the “Goods and Bads” at all – they’re just some good ones I thought were worth sharing!

Goods

When I came here I was really nervous. But YPI is probably one of the best camps I’ve ever been to, not because of the camp games and activities, but because of the people.

Bads

Don’t like getting up so early.

Goods

My room cooled down.

Bads

Once again, I am dead on my feet. So I have escalated from a croc with a stomachache to a shark with gingivitis.

Goods

YPI has an amazing environment. Everyone seems to have respect for everyone. I especially loved Meredith and Jeff’s performances. Meredith was so graceful, and I give her so much love and respect for what she did and how dedicated she is. Jeff’s performance was great because he showed us a serious side and told the truth about why he jokes, which I think everybody needed. My favorite sisters Mackenzie and Louise were bringing their (YPI) experience to an end the way they entered it: with love, respect, and dignity.

Bad

Waking up in the morning. Can breakfast be three hours later?

Goods

I have not yet been bored. And knowing me this is an impressive feat.

I am going to miss camp soooooo much!
-Anonymous Camper, 2011

Bads

Chimps on pogo sticks, chimps with lasers, chimps trying to start international incidents, video chimps, addicted chimps, meca chimps, scientolochimps, tank chimps champ chimps, and romp chimps. All are dangerous.

Goods

It has been a great opportunity to be a part of YPI 2011. I’d like to thank everyone… Everyone here at YPI has been supportive through good times and bad time. I had a very emotional day and with a little help from my friends 2/3 of my problems faded away. I am going to miss camp soooooo much! Having the pleasure to work with the funniest, greatest dance teacher, Sarah, singing at night sweet, sweet melodies and eating pasta at every meal… Thank you. YPI creates a safe, comfortable environment for everyone. That’s why YPI is my favorite state of mind.
